Inspired by mediterranean recipes, high quality ingredients and a familial relationship with our pets, we supported stakeholders including Chef José Andrés in bringing to life their vision for a new brand of deliciously curated meals for doggos everywhere.

Our role included naming, brand identity development, and the design of a unique visual system that could inform current go to market needs like product packaging, web presence, an social media launch assets, yet be flexible enough to expand with future SKUs and product extensions.

 

PACKAGE DESIGN
& BRANDING

The visual identity borrows from the world of the Mediterranean, Chef José’s home. Colors reflect those found along the countryside, the coasts, as well as local ingredients that used in the various recipes. Illustrations were lovingly hand-drawn. Text on the packaging brings to life familiar moments around the table (the “Mesa”) shared by families and their pets.


WEB DESIGN &
DEVELOPMENT

Launch included website design to give pet families a taste of the brand, highlight product offerings, and welcome all to a seat at the royal table (a loose translation of Reál Mesa).

PHOTOGRAPHY

For a glimpse of the real food inside every bag of Reál Mesa, we broke down key ingredients per product SKU in a table top photo shoot that included elements like colored tiles and surface textures found inside real Mediterranean kitchens.


REAL FOOD,
REAL FAMILIES

To capture the essence of the brand as only he could, Chef José Andres welcomed friends, family, their pets, and our crew into his home for a family potluck. Filmed in a mix of docu-style meets cooking show infotainment, we followed Chef José as he gathered quality ingredients from the local farmer’s market and prepared a real mediterranean feast all while speaking to the inspiration and care behind the chef curated craft of Reál Mesa pet food.
